I'm a journalism graduate now working as a Social Media & Marketing Assistant for Carers Trust South East Wales. My goal is to manage a team of media creatives towards creating polarising and memorable online content. A book about a travelling ice hockey fanatic, that was later translated into a dark psychological thriller, would sum up my interests perfectly!

2019 – Current

In acquaintance with my degree, I exclusively created content for the organisation to promote the inception of services and exhibit case studies. Upon learning the foundations of digital marketing, my role has gravitated towards content and email marketing, with an emphasis placed upon social media strategy.

My Duties:
  • Support the marketing manager with content creation
  • Spearhead and publish the organisation’s first social media strategy
  • Manipulate social media analytics data into concise monthly reports
  • Maintain and monitor online presence and brand awareness

Champions Hockey League

Content Creator
2018 – 2019

Offered to assist the organisation with content creation during the live final of the tournament which attracts viewers worldwide. Following this I was hired to support live match coverage of games in the succeeding tournament by writing match previews, recaps and features.

My Duties:
  • Became acquainted with a content management system to write match previews, recaps and features
  • Had article featured in the company’s Season Review booklet, which advertises the tournament to new shareholders
  • Created live content for the organisation’s social channels

BA (Honours) Journalism
2016 – 2019

Through my degree I am now equipped with a toolkit fit for any digital landscape. I learnt the basics of software including Adobe Premiere Pro and InDesign as well as the ability to shoot and edit footage solely on a mobile phone. I also learnt promotional techniques for social channels and how to create professional content in a demanding, time-restricted environment.

My desire to capture audiences began at an early age and steered me to further education where I learnt how to tell stories in a way that I never imagined: digitally. I am a confident creator of distinctive, conceptually led content which I’m now combining with a newfound marketing expertise. With that being said, I believe my three most attractive assets are:

  • An array of digital skills, including Adobe Creative Cloud
  • The ability to write distinctively memorable content
  • An exhaustive creative engine (it never stops!)
